I am a big network television viewer. I have been for most of my life but what bothers me is their tendency to cancel programs that don't do as well in the ratings as they had anticipated. well, tough. the idea behind an episodic television show is to build an audience, not have it from the first episode.  Viewers don't always know when a show is on, don't always have the time to engage and may not be interested until they hear more about it. To me it is only short sighted to cancel programs, put new ones on and then ask people to tune into the new ones. like something will be different this time? If they do poorly they will be cancelled, so the answer is to not tune in until the show hits a second season. Why the networks learn nothing from cable is amazing to me
I don't see how anyone can say we will lead, will not kick the can down the road, will not complain about the last 4 years and will reach across the aisle and get the mess in DC fixed.

How do you ignore what you are responsible for? the past four years are yours, you own them and have to take that ownership. you must also tell us what went wrong with it back then when you were in charge and why you would do it differently this time. finally, you may be able to reach across the aisle but you denied your competitor  the chance to do the same. I don't understand how you obstruct and then claim when you have the power you won't. who can believe this nonsense
